I have a problem where Lockbox just collapses back to Springboard after I've entered the correct password. It seems to have acknowledged the correct password, then tries to do something, then immediately crash and return to the Springboard.
I've checked the permissions are set to 755 at both Applications directory, and within var/root/library/ directory. I am on firmware1.1.1
I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Lockbox 0.5 and its still not working.
Any advice on how to get it working again?

    Thanks

From what I've read on here and googlecode, you can't retrieve your pwd.
But since you are willing to re-enter everything, you can delete the file that stores everything, called Lockbox_V1.dat. Then when you run Lockbox again, you will be asked to create a new password and start again from scratch.
You can remove the above file by using WinSCP on WinXP, or Fugu/Cyberduck on OS X.

Ok, I've been a major slacker on working on this. Glad there's still some faithful that are enjoying it.

Lockbox 0.7 is out. A great guy named Carsten did some basic CSV importing for the project - yeah! I know how big of an item that was for alot of people.

Also, it's working now with 1.1.3. Really stupid of me to hard code the data path to /var/root though migration issues would've been there anyways, but at least a clean installation would've worked always.

It's out on the official repository - http://iphonelockbox.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/repo.xml Add that to your Installer sources if you haven't. I'd do it anyways as I rely on a bit of install scripting for the background to link to the user's background, deleting data upon uninstall, and now a new little script to move your data over from root (1.1.2 and prior). However, run 0.7 first and see if your data is there - if not, then run the 1.1.2-1.1.3 migration script.

You can't retrieve your password - wouldn't be very secure if you could now would it?

If you add the official repository, you can delete your data during an uninstall, which is the easiest.

    Hi Phylar,
We really appreciate you continuing to develop and refine this app, its really useful.
I posted an earlier entry on this thread, where the app throws me back to Springboard after I've entered in the correct password.
I now updated to 0.7, but now my problem has an error message:

Error: *** -[NSKeyedUnarchiver decodeObjectForKey:]: object reference beyond limit or other data corruption

If i try another password, it obviously recognises it as wrong, and instead lists "invalid Password" as the error instead.

Can you please advise what can be done at this point?

    Cheers

    EXTRA INFO:
After trying the above, I quit the app. The next time I tried it again, the password was accepted but all data had disappeared. No tags to filter, no entries. I checked the file's timestamp with Cyberduck, and confirm that the Lockbox_V1.dat is a completely new file, overwriting the old one.
This is Lockbox 0.7 on fw 1.1.1
I'm a little stunned that the data has gone, but accept that its my responsibility to not have sensitive info on beta software, and should have kept details elsewhere too.
But anyway, hope that helps with your troubleshooting and bug fixes. Good luck! I still firmly believe this app will be one of the greats

    Same thing here.
vers 1.1.1 using .5 If you type an incorrect password then close the app.. open it again and type the correct password you get a new blank page and all your previous entries are GONE... learned this the hardway.. had a co work at work pick up my phone to look at it.. typed a pw into the app and shut it.. next time I tried to use it to get some info.. all was gone... tried it again several times.. after reinstall and got the same results always. not a biggy if you have a backup but never thought I'd need one.. so I'm out of luck.. just a heads up for everyone else.

Warlock your a savior. I have known about this corruption issue for a while, but no one gave me good reproduction steps, and I haven't been able to reproduce it (as simple as those were) - but I was able to reproduce it right away with your steps, and found the issue and fixed it. Awesome! I'm adding in a few things I'd like to add in with this release, but if anyone is having this issue and wants a preview version, ask and I'll send it to you (you'll need to scp it over yourself and know how to).
