    2 quick questions:

    - is it possible to "choose language" on the iphone, or must we upload with iphoneinterface the language we wish to use?

    - is it possible (this belongs more the keyboard.plist hacking i guess, but i'll ask here) to add a "other characters" keyboard, or to change some special chars for accents used in languages like portuguese (br), german, french? (דביםףתשלעטאסץ, etc, etc)

    - It is possible to add a language to the iPhone but you have to upload and set the language manually.

    - The keyboard has not yet been updated.

I menaged to set the names of the days and months by simply changing the AppleLocale Key in .GlobalPreferences.plist to nl_NL. Unfortunatly it still displays the wrong date format EEEE, MMM d instead of EEEE d MMM. Wich is common the common format in most European languages.
I haven't found a way to correct this.

Since there is a list there. I guess it's more like OS X, you can drag the language which you want to first place and reboot it. but that's just my guess. no idea how to find the place to turn it on, or perhaps we will have to wait until Apple release iPhone into Europe.

That's weird. since for Traditional Chinese, it displays as "July 26 2007" (MMM D EEEE), "th" is missing. :p

EEEE is not year, thats YYYY. EEEE is the name of the day.

a little off topic, but anyway also to change the font ? I mean that sorta hand writing style font in the Notes editor, which sometimes is hard to read.

    hmm,

sorry, i'm a bit confused. can't find any "AppleLocale" or "AppleLanguage" entry in my .GlobalPreferences.plist file, do i have to add it manually?

or am i just totally wrong?

what exactly do i have to do, to make my iphone look for a directory like de-DE or something, which file do i have to edit? and what entry do i have to add?

    thanks,

    fetz
