    Hi folks
    Anybody cheers up to make an app like KisMAc for iPhone?

    Don't hold your breath, guys. KisMac requires a specific driver to control the WiFi card, something that would be very difficult to write without Apple's help (AFAIK).

    In theory it would be possible to port the Vero wlan driver to the iPhone, however it is beyond my meagre skills...

    I'll post exactly what I posted in the last thread asking the exact same question:

    The problem with trying to do something like Kismet, or any other wep cracking utility, is that it is highly driver dependant. They require the ability to put your wireless card into a passive receive state in order to capture ARP requests. It would probably require a recompile of the iPhone's wireless driver to achieve :-/

    Probably not the easiest task

    Would it be interesting to have, certainly, but I doubt that it's possible based on driver requirements.

    There's "Stumbler" in Installer.app that's very nice - isn't that what you guys are wanting, just to detect and sweep for WiFi networks? Give that a try.
