In your case, i would say:

Be careful not to deactivate OpenSSH, it could be very useful if you install an app that mess up your iPhone-iTouch system.

But by leaving it up, wouldn't it increase battery drain. Another thing: is the ssh that the otoko 1.1.2 jailbreak OpenSSH?

I quote myself from the previous page.

    Will this kill my battery?
No. Unlike other ssh packages for the iPhone, this package does not have a constantly running daemon. It is simply added to the list of connections that the inetd daemon (which always runs on your iPhone) listens for. If it sees you trying to connect, it will start up sshd to handle it. When you disconnect, the sshd process goes away. This is exactly how it runs on Apple laptops. So, no, this package will not kill your battery if left turned on because, in truth, there is nothing actually running. My package is the only one that can claim this, to the best of my knowledge.

Thats correct! Itīs like leaving the house without key for the backdoor when you know someone could lock the frontdoor from inside...

Now I am really carefull with installing third party apps and I will try to avoid unnecessary stuff...

Is there an app someone could recommend to install under 1.1.2 which can handle SSH, WIFI, Bluetooth etc.. to turn these features on/off?
Indeed it is openssh coming with the jailbreak from Conceitedsoftware (http://conceited_software.com/iphone...-jailbreak.zip) (Remove underscore between conceited and software for download!
So there should be no severe batterydraining as XianLi mentioned before...
I will try this, better keep the key for the backdoor in my pocket from now on....

Hey, although you have already restored your phone..
but I think you did extra step.. all you have to do is downgrade to 1.1.1, jailbreak, oktoprep and upgrade to 1.1.2....
so you can safe your time next time IF you have to restore again...
