Default [iPhone Video Recorder] Not really a trial !

I tried the iPhone Video Recorder, and after few times it ask me to enter registration code. The message says trial allows only 30 Seconds. So i did uninstall the software and did reinstall. To my surprise I still get the same registration code screen. It looks like the software is a spyware as after an uninstall it should removed all the files, but during install it installing hidden files into the root system folder which cannot be deleted.

So maybe a spyware to track our Serial Numbers or something similar...........Any one with similar screen popup?

That's not the definition of a spyware. If it was then every shareware application for the PC would be a spyware.

Spyware? That's simply absurd. It just puts a file on the phone to prevent you from resetting the demo...and golly gee...it worked.

The problem is the trail says it can record only 30sec limit, but it didn't say it has any trail time. If that was the case and if it was clearly said then I would not have installed. Misleading i think...........

He means his version of iPhone Video Recorder is missing the 'Continue evaluation' button. He thinks it's misleading that it says there is a trial version, but it doesn't actually have any way to get into the trial.

Try downloading the newest version -- 1.2.2
I have it and it works just fine. Pretty fine piece of software. Thinking of buying it

Nobody is going to explain you how to bypass/reset the demo/trial limitation of a software here.

    Thanks for your Understanding.

Thumbs down It certainly misleads as to the nature of the license

So rather than just being limited to 'recording for 30 seconds' as claimed by the software, it is also limited by uses and/or by date.
What's more, once you've hit said limit, not only will it not record, it won't play back (or anything else).
I have purchased a fair amount of shareware in my time. One thing I cannot abide is the software writers being dis-honest about their licensing.

I don't think anyone's really going to side with you on this one. Simply put it an evaluation period with limited functionality so you can try the software to decide if you want to buy it. As with most trialware, after your time expires, you cannot simply uninstall and reinstall to get a new evaluation period. If you like it and the price is right, buy it. If not, then you got a chance to evaluate it and decide before buying which is the whole point.
