    Google didn't want iLocation to do this because they had planed it with Apple.
    Apple wants people to ugprade to 1.1.3 because it's still better protected against jailbreaking and unlocking.

    Now where did you get the idea that Google would now be any friendlier towards anything that could make their partnership with Apple worth less?

    The author has written "until they release a public API", not "a public APP"...
