Default iCosta Input System version 1.0.3 is released!

iCosta is system integerated input system for iPhone.
This release is version 1.0.3, which supports iPhone with firmware 1.0.x, 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. It works on iPod, too.

New features introduced by this release:
    1. Improved association char dict.
    2. Support firmware 1.1.2 from this release.
    3. Candidate popup, you can move the finger in candidate area to change selection, now.
    4. Restructure the publish system, the source for Installer (apptapp) is http://iphone.freecoder.org/rep/ now. All input methods are collected in category Localization, the package name and description is much more meaningful.

Currently, we provide PinYin (simplified and traditional), WuBi86(simplified), WuBi98(simplified), Cangjie(traditional).

Though we provide only Chinese input method, iCosta system has no limitation builtin. It is easy to add new input method if it uses english letter only for encoding and there is no copyright or patent trouble.

And we accept donation from TaoBao and PayPal, now.

Please visit http://iphone.freecoder.org for more information. Of cause, the website is in Chinese.

Have iCosta v1.0.2 installed in fw 1.1.1 and work great. Install 1.0.3 pinyin for fw 1.1.1 without uninstall 1.0.2 first. Went back and uninstall 1.0.2. reboot the phone but iCosta 1.0.3 does not work. The "Earth" icon no longer show up on keyboard. Try uninstall 1.0.3 pinyin but with error "Main script execution failed!" Anyone has any idea how to get iCosta back for my iPhone?

As we restructured installer source, there are two possible source, old one you used to install v 1.0.2 and new one for v 1.0.3. The safe way is uninstall existed 1.0.2 and then install 1.0.3. Else there may be two version and only one copy of files in system, that's why you cannot remove second one from installer.

Don't worry, it is easy to recover, there are three different way:
    1. download pxl file from official website, use iBrickr or winscp to install from pxl package. Then you may uninstall it from installer.

    2. You may download pxl file from official website and expand the package, then put iCostaCtl to /bin and chmod it with exec permission. And then you may try to uninstall it from installer.

    3. Remove the installed record from installer if you know how to do it.
