    Default Home botton?

I am not sure this is possible or not but could an expert write a program (if it is possible of course) to make a home botton icon to appear somewhere on the screen and with tapping on it phone turns back to home screen where ever we are, the same function as home botton. I am not confortable too much using home botton as it may fail after too much using.

Try the Dock application. It's in the System section of the Installer.

Consider the switch that you use a million times a day on your mouse. The switches that are used for these devices are rated for a ton of cycles. I am sure that by the time the home button switch actually wears out you will be looking for another phone. I wouldn't worry, just use your phone and enjoy it.

You know they made that button for a reason, not to look at it, just keep on pressing it, I'll bet you could use the home-button a billion times before it get's screwed! The whole phone is ment to be used, its not to be framed and hanged on a wall...

main purpose of home botton is for hard resetting of the phone when pushed together with power on/off botton. This is the only good thing about this switch. Otherwise I prefer to have a little home icon on the down rigth corner. When I touch it it take me to the summerboard.

I don't see anyone will waste their time in making such a useless program.
    1. You have a physical home button. There is no reason for a redundance.
    2. If your finger slips, and accidentally touch the home button while you are in the middle of something, you may lose data, because most apps don't run in background.
