    Default [GUIDE] setup Chinese input / keyboard in 5 Minutes ;)

    hi everyone!

    after my thread on how to install korean keyboard on the iphone, here comes another input method for chinese. it is pretty easy and should work on all firmware versions up to 1.1.4 (for i have only tested it with 1.1.4!)

    you will get:
    * chinese input method with text prediction,e.g. AI QING (love): you just have to type the whole word and the correct chinese character combination will appear as selection *WORKS REALLY NICE !!*

    * you will still be able to switch between Chinese Input and other keyboards with the globe-button on the iphone keyboard

    * you can input chinese text anywhere, no matter if it is a short message or a search entry in the safari browser

    * traditional and simplified chinese is supported

    * THE alternative to NativeCN!

    install method:
    1) open installer.app
    2) go to sources
    3) go to edit
    4) go to add: ...
    5) type " iphonesg.org/sources " , then wait until it got added to your sources
    6) go to Install -> Apps(iPhoneSG) -> WeFit 1.0-rc1
    7) restart your phone!

    DONE!
    Enjoy

    Default System Language

    thanks for the guide! I just bought 6 iPhones for my friends in China (I live in Shanghai). Would you happen to know how to change the system language to Chinese? I've seen it done on other people's iPhones, but I can't find any info in English as to how to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi!

    Here you go!

    i just read this chinese website (http://bbs.iphone.com.cn/viewthread....5531&highlight) and translated it here for you.
    I just tried it, it works like a dream!

    (BSD Subsystem and Open SSH should be installed on your phone)

    1) Log on to your iPhone with WinSCP (or any other method to browse your iphone)
    2) Download this File for enabling the chinese menu(http://www.fs2you.com/en/files/98cc2...-0014221f4662/)
    [even though it says 1.1.3, you can also use it with firmware 1.1.4!]
    when you open the link, you might have to wait some seconds until "download" appears; if your computer doesn't support chinese, you might have to erase the chinese characters of the rar file before you extract it
    3) extract the file
    4) copy the two folders Application and System into the iPhone folder /*.*
    5) restart your iPhone
    6) go to settings -> languages and select chinese menus

    It works! Even though not all the buttons are translated, this will turn your phone menus into chinese by 90%!
    It is in fact pretty easy!

    Hey there,

    I installed it, but I does not show any Chinese language in International Settings or in Keyboards.

    Any advice?
