    Default Google Earth?

Is there anyway anyone could port google earth to the iphone?

I'm from Canada and the data rates here are astronomical, so I don't use google maps unless I have a wifi connection.

Hate to break it to you, but google earth streams as well, and probably more so than google maps.

Even if it was possible on the iPhone (which I doubt due to gpu requirements) it wouldn't be any easier on your mobile data plan.

As has been said, Google Earth does not rely upon local map data. It streams everything over the net.

I'd hate to imagine how much space all of the data required for Google Earth would consume if it was stored locally.

Is there a way to locally store a region of Google Maps, for faster access?
