Managed to port OpenOBEX, but it failed. I think I should try it out again from the start. Will keep you guys posted, but its looking like the SDK will be needed to get this app fully working (that is if apple don't screw up the SDK - not off topic, lol)

    Arrow Work in Progress

I know it might sound like the twin story of the 1.1.2 unlock but the effort is taking more time than we thought together with the other stuff of our normal jobs

Anyway we are still working at it. Hopefully we will get it down before Apple releases iphone 2.0 [that might still not have OBEX enabled]

And we would also need to get couple of more 1.1.1 OTB for testing, I tried even in the southern corner of Taiwan but nobody has any of those darlings left...

yes good to know thast someone is working on it! but, do you think a solution IS actually possibile?

i mean, it's all a matter of time and then we'll have a bluetooth working? or it's not sure if it's going to work ever?

    thank you

It has been a while since we started this effort. We had to port Lightblue to Leopard first to avoid to recompile the entire framework, Bea did a great job at it. We are now porting it to the iphone. We think we can get Bluecore to run with OBEX server but we do not have a definite answer for it, unfortunately I had to get some more iphones for testing first [and i luckily managed to] and the team did not have much time to work on it. Anyhow we have schedule to end our effort by the end of Feb by when we should have either done it of abandoned it.

The_Real_BigBuckz was working on OpenObex but I do not know if he had any luck with it.

We might have some help when the SDK is out... we'll see...

I just wanted to throw in my thanks for all the effort you guys/gals are putting into this project. I concur this is the single, most important, missing function of the iPhone.

It is beyond me why OBEX, amongst others, wasn't included. DRM is in place on the iPhone; you can't even download and play the stock ring tones without proper name/pass!

    Well, much thanks again!!
