Apple won't add it in. It is because of copyright etc... That is the reason why they left it out.

I see, so if I sync photos, music or videos via iTunes, it's different ? BS, seems as if the shop employees had to find a stupid excuse...

This is setting a good roadmap, thanks Mark.

Were you referring to the bluemagic sdk that apparently has not been ported to OS X? http://www.oi-us.com/Uploads/File/Bluemagic_Brief.pdf

I think the bluetooth implementation is the same as that was used in OSX Leopard.

Still looking around in the app, bluetool cant initiate any HCI commands as no device can be found. I'm assuming due to the fact there is no Server Implementation for sending to the Client.

    another good read

    http://www.bluetomorrow.com/content/section/414/570/

more about the implementation, will add more as i research.

    Unhappy

[iphonedev;169705] I think the bluetooth implementation is the same as that was used in OSX Leopard.
I had a lame idea, I have tried to load the Bluetooth Framework of Leopard on the phone but could not get it to establish a link.

On top of that if FTP is not supported, there is no implementation currently to directly exchange file...

    Lightbulb See if this works

The OS X BT Protocol is extremely well documented, I guess you
    have already looked into this:

    http://developer.apple.com/DOCUMENTA...ual/Bluetooth/

But I could not find a good base to work with.

So I decided to work on the python idea i referred to earlier.
Downloaded lightblue and studied the package.

It seems a possible solution. It mounts its own OBEX server and the
entire code for basic operations is provided.

    Todro,
i also found a A2DP profile in python working on linux that
should be easily ported, but this can be done later.

Now it's late, I will finish the installation tomorrow and see what happens.

Thanks for the good work. Max
