Our OBEX effort team is obviously curious about this issue as this would affect directly our work.

Has anyone any more direct feedback on this matter?
Thanks for the info but reading some feedback I have not read anything about A2DP support with FW 1.1.4, can anyone confirm that the new FW update 1.1.4 has better syncing with bluetooth devices??

Apparently they have only fixed some bugs that 1.1.3 introduced for the pairing with devices that were previously already available in 1.1.2 and lower.

That would mean no support for A2DP and obviously OBEX.

As being someone who is not part of this group,(trying to get an unbiased 3rd party opinion) although if I had more time(don't even have enough for my personal projects) I'd like to make the suggestion of creating a donation pool for this project. This is quite possibly one of the better potential applications being developed right now IMO. Direct transfer of any file from iPhone->iPhone or any other phone is quite good, and could enable ad hoc multiplayer games or something of the sort without a wifi connection. Let me know what you guys think, I realize you guys don't want to be greedy, but basically i'm telling you asking for donations on an undocumented venture like this is not being greedy. Please set up the paypal link!!!! I got my taxes back so I def have something for you guys. I owe at least that much for all this site has given me. And remember, a forum consists of its members, not just the iPhone Dev Team(no disrespect btw) because one can't really exist without the other. If there are rules against this, then that is not right.

I'll show the money! (just show me some progress )

    klipseracer,
thanks for the suggestion and we indeed welcome support for the project.

We have not activated the donation option onto our project site yet, as we have not disclosed any results publicly. So far I have been funding the project.

Once we have some usable stuff for the community we will open the paypal link.

    Cheers, Max
