Default [in Dev] Skydiving logbook (iphone companion)

Just curious if there are any skydivers out there in the hackint0sh community.
if so, are there any members that would use a skydiving logbook? right now i'm designing it to work with ParalogŪ (www.paralog.net). If enough members use Paralog or would like a logbook in general... please leave a post so i can tell if this will be handy or not!

Yeah, I'm here! Bring it on! I would love to incorporate my absolute FAVORITE passion into the iPhone.

Not to hijack the thread, but have you heard the rumors that the next iPhone has altitude sensors in it?! I wonder if we could make an altimeter out of that one!!?!?!

I haven't used Paralog. I should check into that. I used to use the software that came with the Pro-Track, but I kind of stopped for some stupid reason, and have just been using my handwritten logbook. It would be nice to have something on the iPhone where I can input things as soon as I'm back in the packing tent.

    Thanks for representing us!

My first release will be as a paralog iphone companion... if i have enough requests after that.. i will design a standalone version! shouldnt' be too hard to convert it over to a standalone iphone app after making it compatiable to Paralog.

This is just a quick note to state that this app (if released) is not in any part officially supported or a part of Paralog. It is merely a third party tool that just reads/Writes from/to the Paralog Database. Sorry for any confusion if there was any

Would be nice if this would also be suitable for Paragliders.

Well keep a look out at http://www.paralog.net. You may see something you like in future. They have plans to incorporate Paragliding into their program.

When i know more, i'll post it... but the quickest news should come from that site

Seems very useful, dtomcat. A similar app could probably be useful to pilots so that they can track the flights that they have flown and hours logged in, although I am not a pilot myself!

... AH yes... I am a Military Pilot (still in training)... so all of my hours get logged for me... forgot how much of a pain it is.. This app is designed (or rather being designed) to work with ParalogŪ. I can pass it along... I know paragliders will be implemented in the future and if its not that different (not really sure) then i'm sure he wouldn't mind (I do not speak for him so this is not fact). Thanks for your input.

If i have time (right now i really don't have time for the current app i'm designing) and enough members would like an Iphone aviation logbook... i may be able to put something together. but flight school is demanding and this iphone app i'm designing now isn't going as smoothly as i had orginially thought

**as a quick note on this app... I currently have alarms working for N set of gears (repack due - based on Paralog settings) and the alarm for membership is working (also based on Paralog settings).

Count me in! I'd be seriously interested in this! IF only there was a way to dump from an Optima straight onto a logger on the iPhone!!!
