    Default [Dev] Hello World app advice

    Hi all, I am absolutely new to the iphone and objective C programming. I just downloaded winchain, cygwin and others to develop on my PC. I searched a bit on some samples but none of them are working. Some say the UIScreen (or other UI elements) is not found, while the best one successfully compiled, but don't create the window, just stayed in the default.png thing, and quits back to springboard after sometime.

    These are the source code of that sample app (SampleApp.m)
    #import "SampleApp.h"
    @implementation SampleApp
    - (void) applicationDidFinishLaunching: (id) unused
        UIWindow *window;
        struct CGRect rect = [UIHardware fullScreenApplicationContentRect];
        rect.origin.x = rect.origin.y = 0.0f;
        window = [[UIWindow alloc] initWithContentRect: rect];
        mainView = [[UIView alloc] initWithFrame: rect];
        textView = [[UITextView alloc]
            initWithFrame: CGRectMake(0.0f, 0.0f, 320.0f, 480.0f)];
        [textView setEditable:YES];
        [textView setTextSize:14];
        [window orderFront: self];
        [window makeKey: self];
        [window _setHidden: NO];
        [window setContentView: mainView];
        [mainView addSubview:textView];
        [textView setText:@"Hello World"];
    P.S. solved. thanks, it seems that i didn't chmod it to 755, so it can't run on my 1.1.4
