It's my understanding that the files created by Cydia and the Apps installed by Cydia , become unusable after you UPDATE your 2.0.x firmware to 2.1. This results in approximately 500 MB unusable space.
I have plenty of official Apps that I do not want to loose or reinstall, if I do a RESTORE to 2.1.
My question is : if I manually uninstall all the Apps that I installed with Cydia , will I regain free space or is the 500 MB a partition that I will loose no matter if it's used or not by installed Apps ?
I would much rather uninstall and reinstall all the Cydia apps than all the Appstore apps.
