I think we need to take baby steps...

Lets get a way to select text first.

outside of the programming difficulties, i think eventually taking advantage of multi-touch features will be the way to go with a lot of these ideas... i imagine tap-hold to bring up the magnifying glass with one finger then gesturing (clockwise circle, counterclockwise, etc.) with another finger.

    e.g.

    SELECT-COPY-PASTE:
-taphold and bring cursor to beginning spot
-counterclockwise flick (w/second finger) to highlight
-move tapheld finger to end spot
-clockwise flick (w/second finger) to end highlight
-Double tap (w/second finger) to copy
    -release both
-taphold and bring cursor to new spot
-Triple tap (w/second finger) to paste

i dunno... just daydreaming; i'd like to see what the efficiency/resolution of the electrical field for the touch interface; perhaps three or more finger combos would be possible.

I think talking about how to copy and paste is more enjoyable than the function itself.... And yes, I love you guys.
