Default [Compatibility] List of Apps that don't work with Tzones Internet Plan

I have experienced several apps that do not work with Tzones ($5.99 Tmobile internet plan). In the same vain as the best apps thread, I thought it might be helpful to build a list of what apps that need to connect to the internet don't work and those that do on Tzones.

I've seen some devs say there's an issue because it goes through the proxy server (thus they work on the full internet plan but not Tzones). If some devs apps work and others don't, hopefully it's something simple that the working apps are doing so we can get them all to work for Tzones customers (me included ).

    Here's a list of apps I've tried.

    Don't work with Tzones:
    • Apollo
    • iChabber
    • Funambol

    • MobileChat

    • Nikotalkie

    • SongID

    • SyncJE

    Do work with Tzones:
    • All Native Apple apps (and we know they did nothing special to make sure it works for Tmobile)

    • Caterpillar

    • Customize 2.0

    • iMapIdle

    • Installer

    • LocateMe

    • Navizon

    • Ringtones

Great thread idea, youve tried the same ones I have and I've had the same luck.

Excellent post, I agree that it is a great idea.

I had been wondering, if there was a patch I was missing in addition to what we have to make the Apple Apps work. I may be stating the obvious but it seems like these apps do not "push" or connect to the internet. I have tried firing up a web page or weather and jumped back to these programs, but still with no luck. Maybe they use a different port that AT&T uses? I don't know anything about AT&T's edge.

I still can't get YouTube to work on 1.1.4 half the time despite the numerous patches that are available. Oh well...maybe someone else knows more about these apps and their connectivity.

The weird thing to me is that some work just fine with the net connection via Tzones. Why wouldn't the other developer's apps be able to connect with Tzones? Why are they having issues with a proxy connection when other's aren't?

on my newest phone I got lazy and installed the big boss tzones app instead of changing the information myself

    Does this cause additional problems?

because my database reads for LocateMe do not work - keeps failing.

locateme used to work for me on tzones on my 1.1.1 OTB. I had to get a new phone 1.1.4 OTB and it doesn't work now. but it works with wi-fi.

I just get Data base read failed. the cells get detected fine. It's weird that it stopped working.
