    Yes i know there are patches.
    But dont u remember about that
    installer app?
    It used to be fantastic
    I was made by i.unlock.no i think.
    I would recognize my texts and phone calls.

    Now a days. I will only recognize phonecalls
    or text.

    Thanks

    Yes! I loved that app when my iphone was on 1.1.1 - it was simple and worked perfectly if your country had a simple 7-9 (?) digit number format.

    Unfortunately the developer, Fredrik Grevstad, of i.unlock.no, never updated it to work on 1.1.2 and newer FW.

    I agree that it would be nice if he could provide an updated version.

    Fredrik, are u listening? :-)

    I'm looking for a Caller ID solution for Argentinean phone numbers too (my carrier is Claro AR).

    After reading this site http://themobileapps.com/?p=3 I was playing with the PhoneNumberTemplates.plist for a while with no luck. I want to explain what the particular problem in Argentina is; maybe somebody can find a solution:
    In my city (Buenos Aires) there are two formats for phone number:

    1. Fixed Phones: +54 11 ####-#### where 54 is the international code and 11 is le local code.

    2. Cellular Phones: +54 9 11 ####-#### where 54 is the international code, 11 is le local code and the 9 is the problematic number (apparently with no function).

    To make the things funnier, when you receives a SMS the carrier sent the whole number (+54 9 11 ####-####) but when you receives a call (from cellular or fixed phones) the carrier sent a short number 11 ####-####

    Now suppose I got a contact with a cell phone number ####-####. Well if I store the contactís phone number as +54 9 11 ####-#### the caller id for SMS works fine, but when this contact call me, the carrier sent 11 ####-#### to the phone and it canít match the number with the contact.

    If I store the contactís number as 11 ####-#### then the caller ID works fine for incoming calls, but doesnít work for SMSs.

    I tried to set the following entries in the PhoneNumberTemplates.plist in order to define two possible international codes:
    <key>ar</key>
    <array>
    <array>
    <string>549</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>2</integer>
    <integer>8</integer>
    </array>
    <array>
    <string>54</string>
    <string>00</string>
    <string>0</string>
    <integer>2</integer>
    <integer>8</integer>
    </array>
    </array>

    But the iPhone apparently does not support two different international codes for the same regional setting (only the first international code in the regional setting is taken account).

    Iím stuck at this point. I hope this information helps somebody to solve this problem.
