    Allright, I've got a quick python hack that downloads a published iCalendar formatted page into the iPhone and parses it. However, after looking at the Calendar.sqlitedb I can't seem to figure out where there would be some kind of unique id for the events that I could match with the events coming from the iCal file.

    I'll probably start by looking into implementing a brute force 1-way only WIFI sync:

    Outlook -> ScheduleWorld/Funembol -> iCalendar -> iPhone (via WIFI)

    so I can keep my work calendar synced with my phone at work during the day. that would mean delete all the events from that calendar, and rebuild all from the content of the file.

    Of course I would prefer to implement two-way sync, but that would mean being able to figure out which calendar event is which...

    Does anyone know how the date and time of an event is encoded on the iPhone Calendar application? It look like 212540400 = 2007-09-26 16:00 ?!?

    its nonstandard... iirc it is seconds since january 31st 2001 or something... just set the date on an event to say tomorrow 00:00, and see what it puts in, then just calculate in seconds back...

    Allright so the format seems to be in seconds since 2001/01/01 0:00 GMT

    So a timestamp set for 2007/01/01 0:00 PST is encoded as 189331200 which is 52592 hours - 8 hours = 52584 hours = 2191 days since 2001/01/01 0:00

    any progress on the long awaited GCalendar? For those of you that do get it to work through Tapp, could you provide a step-by-step incl any other apps you have installed that I may need? I keep getting the "Cannot connect to Google Calendar" message.

    Quite frustrating...

    Boy this would be an ideal solution for many .edus, (and Corp.) i know for a fact mine is scouring for some type of calendar solution for the iPhone. Since the Apples SDK announcement, companies like Synthesis (whom make SyncML) have notified me that they will immediatly produce SycnML client for the iPhone once the SDKs are released.

    But we want something now!!
