    Default [Bootnueter 2.0] Failed to Flash Baseband [Error 21]

    I got this error after trying to restore the locks.

    Bootloader = 3.9
    Neuter = OFF
    Fakeblank = OFF
    Unlock = OFF

    It said that bootneuter successfully flashed the bootloader but failed to flash the baseband. Error 21

    Now, I don't have Network, Wifi or Bluetooth. Greyed out.

    A DFU restore with the custom firmware gives me an error 1604 in iTunes.

    A normal restore to the original 2.0 also gives me an Error 1604.

    Help me out please.

    DFU restore to 2.0 original doens't work either. I get the same 1604 error while "Preparing iPhone for Restore".

    It is a USB timing issue? Because when I pwned with WinPwn, I didn't get this when restoring with the custom firmware even though the 'Preparing iPhone for Restore' took ages.

    I have the same problem.
    1. I've restored to the 2.0 firmware (custom)
    2. Everething went well and 2.0 was loaded.
    3. For some reason i've decided to lauch the boot neuter icon
    4. I switched the bootloader from 3.9 to 4.6
    5. Waited until flash finished
    6. Reboot

    and that's it. my iphone is stuck on the boot screen since then.
    nothing i do helps. in DFU mode i cannot restore to any of the firmwares -
    tried to restore to 1.1.4, original 2.0, custom 2.0 and always get "error 1604".

    PLEASE HELP!

    I've tried almost everything to solve the 1604 error. Try different ports, User Accounts, Uninstall and reinstall iTunes. But still I get that error. Has this something to do with WinPwn pwning the iTunes?

    Or is it entirely my computer? I have yet to try another computer.

    A ray of hope.

    I have downgraded my iTunes to 7.6.

    And DFUed a 1.1.4. Its restoring my iPhone and i'm past the 1604 error.

    Hopefully my baseband isn't f99ked up and I can downgrade my baseband...

    iTunes 7.7 doens't support a downgrade. Please uninstall all that is Apple and install the old version. 7.6.2.

    Now DFU restore with 1.1.4.

    You should not get the error 1604

    Success!

    I was able to bring my phone back alive.

    Didn't have to downgrade my baseband though. A DFU restore form 2.0 to 1.1.4 took me to the activation screen.

    I think, the error that I got when flashing baseband (error 21) is a result of an absent baseband.

    What is up with bootneuter? I know that I shouldn't mess with it. But this had never happened with the old bootneuter.

    The restart to unload the commcenter should be the culprit.

    Hmmmm,

    I am getting errors 46 (when running bootneuter automatically with custom firmware) after winpwn 2.0.0.3 and then error 21 when I subsequently try to rerun bootneuter.

    Baseband was working after iliberty 1.1.4

    On reboot baseband appears to be missing/not upgraded.

    saralsh - did you manage to rerun the custom firmware after 1.1.4? if so which baseband version did you get.
