Well, being used to BitchX on my mac, I'd prefer using it on my iPhone too. Bugger is, after installing it through Installer it just prints a few lines and then returns to Springboard. Subsequent starts of BitchX just provide instant returns to SB after showing a black terminal like screen for a fraction of a second.
I've tried CHMOD 0775/0757/0777 both BitchX.app and BitchX, also CHOWN as mobile both but, alas, that doesn't resolve the prob. Checking the BitchX log at /private/var/logs/CrashReporter/BitchX-2008-03-15-134315.plist I see
I checked for libarmfp.dylib which is supposed to be a part of binkit, assuming it was missing. Not that I found an answer to that, I now believe it's a problem of unsafe use of relative path libarmfp.dylib in /Applications/BitchX.app/BitchX with setuid binary, which reminds me of the changes introduced with 113/114 of apps running with different perms. Well, ok, but I already tried CHMOD 0775/0757/0777 on it, so what gives???Code:<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>AutoSubmitted</key> <true/> <key>SysInfoCrashReporterKey</key> <string>784fbd4a8ef758c92937a00aa8180f962752a688</string> <key>bug_type</key> <string>109</string> <key>description</key> <string>Incident Identifier: 011D0FC1-5D2C-4879-9ADF-8758CCB7F857 CrashReporter Key: 784fbd4a8ef758c92937a00aa8180f962752a688 Process: BitchX Path: /Applications/BitchX.app/BitchX Version: N/A (N/A) Code Type: 0000000C (Native) Effective UID: 0 Parent Process: SpringBoard Date/Time: 2008-03-15 13:43:15.421 +0100 OS Version: OS X 1.1.4 (4A102) Report Version: 101 Exception Type: EXC_BREAKPOINT Exception Codes: 0x00000001, 0xe7ffdefe Crashed Thread: 0 Dyld Error Message: Library not loaded: libarmfp.dylib Referenced from: /Applications/BitchX.app/BitchX Reason: unsafe use of relative path libarmfp.dylib in /Applications/BitchX.app/BitchX with setuid binary </string> <key>displayName</key> <string>BitchX</string> <key>name</key> <string>BitchX</string> <key>os_version</key> <string>OS X 1.1.4 (4A102)</string> <key>system_ID</key> <string></string> <key>version</key> <string>N/A (N/A)</string> </dict> </plist>
Can someone smart please shed some light on this? I don't get it …
