There's a couple of web based calculators that might be useful as far as layout goes:

    Programmers: http://m.netninja.com/calc/
    Scientific (and prog): http://scicalc.belfry.com/

I tried to put the programmers calculator on the iphone local file system using fugu but safari is crippled to prevent using file:/// urls. It seems silly to have to have an internet connection going to just to use a calculator.

Default Here's how to put it on your iPhone

    Load it as a boorkmarklet!

    http://www.somewhere.com/url2iphone....to+Bookmarklet

Follow the above link in Safari and add the Data Bookmarklet link to your Safari bookmarks. Then just sync your iPhone (and include Safari bookmarks), and you'll have a local version of the calculator. Ignore the size warning; it seems to work fine on my iPhone.

You can transfer pretty much anything to your iPhone this way, including PDFs and images.

Thanks for link! Although the programmer's calculator didn't work (Safari came up with an error anytime you pushed a key), the other one seems to work.

Now if they can get it to show A-F as A-F instead of a-f

I found the HP-11C, HP-12C, HP-15C and HP-16C, they work great, you can get them thru installer by adding the following source list: modmyifone.com/installer.xml

I prefer MACalc as a Cientific calculator, its easier to use and you can get it here: http://web.newsguy.com/marcio/iphone/macalc/

    Good Luck
