    Default [Apollo-IM Client]-T-Mobile users question

    Good day to all.

Here is a stupid question and I am sorry in advance. I am a t-mobile customer and on my previous phone, if I used AOL IM, I had to pay for every single text sent back and forth.

If I install and use Apollo, will the same thing happen? Will t-mob charge me for every message? If I go to Safari and use one of the sites with the built in clients, will that incur me text charges?

I really cannot afford to pay for the sms text charges but I really would like to use this option.

    Thanks for your input.

    Michael

Nope... though it needs an internet connection to connect to the IM servers, therefore you need to have either edge or wifi for it to work.

i was using apolloim to access my aol aim account. i checked my att bill and realized i am being charged as "text/im" for each message received. i have unlimited data, but only 200 text messages in my plan. any ideas/suggestions as to why received instant messages are being charged as text not data?
