Thanks. If I knew this earlier, I would not erase all of my iPhone bookmarks while syncing via iTunes just for a few bookmarklets....

    Hello,

Rather than modifying the plist file (and risk breaking it), it might be easier to just mail it to yourself.

    1) On your pc/mac/linux/freebsd machine, copy/paste the link into an email. However, modify the beginning of the URL as follows:

    replace

    javascript:

    by

    http://javascript/

email to an account that you can access from your iPhone.

    2) Access your email from the iPhone. Click on the URL in your email. This will bring up safari, and give you an error, because safari won't be able to find the page.

    3) Save the URL as a bookmark (change the name if you want, but at this point you won't be able to modify the URL itself).

    4) Still in Safari, after having saved the URL as a bookmark, no go into "Edit" mode and bring up the bookmark that you just saved.

Now you will now have the chance to modify (fix) the URL.

    Replace

    http://javascript/

    by

    javascript:

    and then resave the bookmark...

It's a lot of bending over backwards to get to this point, but I think it's safer than having to vi the plist file, especially if you aren't familiar with ssh/vi/xml
    best regards,

    tom

Thanks for your solution but doesn't work. I haven't problems with ssh/xml, I only want to know how it gets that key values.

    Regards.

Strange, it worked for me - I'm happily using the tabulator after following my procedure.

As for the <key> values, that looks/smells/sounds/acts like xml, and I don't have any answers there

    best regards,

    tom

Safari cuts URL at the end ( leave a ')' ) and converts '{', '}' to '%7', is it normal?

It did that on my bookmark as well, but it works just fine like that. My tabulate bookmark ends with the following character chain:

    %7D%7D)()

Just make sure yours ends like this and you should be good to go...

    Best regards,

    tom
