Default [2.0][Cydia/Installer] Where are the new apps ???!?!

OK, 2.0 is now jailbroken and able to run unofficial programs . I would have expected new (or old 1.x) applications for 2.0 to appear on Cydia by the dozens , day by day. Instead Cydia is still a ghost town . Which seems quite strange because Cydia is a great tool and seems to be way more stable and fast than the old Installer. And I fear that even when the new Installer will be available , the situation won't change as for as what regards the availability of new applications. I believe that the Apple is luring a lot of programmers/developers hoping to have their applications featured in the Applestore. And this is holding everything back.

    You are right.

I understand most simple apps and utils can be quite easily updated to 2.0, and many run without any modification whatsoever.

Some kind of programming chauvinism is at work here, and it is forcing a lot of people to scrap pwnage and go back to 1.1.4 It is a shame.

ok... it's a matter of patience... day by day we can see more and more stuff showing up in CYDIA... I miss my old stuff but it's something that was bound to happen anytime soon... and unlike what someone posted about being simple appsa that can be quite easily updated to 2.0, I have found in other forums that it just isn't so... it requires time because all the apps would have to be rewritten... 2.0 is awesome, bu you need patience..

Word of wisdom: If you updated and now regret it, is only because you didn't read all the warnings and notes about updating and apps availability... Most people went crazy as soon as the PWNAGE tool became available without reading E V E R Y T H I N G there was to read about 2.0, the result? a lot of people asking how to downgrade...

I've no regret of having updated to 2.0 . I was aware of the implications but I had the "urge" of trying something new ! Do I really need those 50+ applications I had on my 1.1.4 ??? Probably not ! But it starts to get boring when you launch Cydia and nothing new comes out ..........
Let's see if this so much anticipated 4.0 installer will bring all the goodies back...... and we can start again stuffing our turkeIphone with a bunch of Apps.

I guess all my concerns have been confirmed now that the new installer has come out. Where are all the Apps ?!?!?!
Cydia is definitely a better and more reliable source of "unofficial" apps. But one thing stands above all : the AppStore

Having more than one source of apps is something to be happy about, some of the stuff on the app store is better, some of it is not. I think a lot of people make porting the apps across sound a little easier than it is.
