    Lightbulb [1.1.3] SETUID-Fix: allows running your apps as root again (terminal, wikiserver..)

    i think i have to mention the SETUID-Fix in a dedicated thread. people should know about it.

    first found in this thread, the setuid-fix allows you to "/bin/chmod +s" your applications, so they run as root again. this fixes various application startup-problems.

    The fix ( “SUID Lib Fix” ) is available in the http://www.trejan.com/irepo/ repository and can be found found under “Tweaks (1.1.3)”

    should this be used to get Customize working perhaps? presently w/ the official dev 1.1.3 installed Customize seems to work and allows you to change images to your hearts content, but upon a respring the changes are never reflected on the springboard...

    The term-vt problem on my 1.1.3 keeps asking for password and login? also my 1.1.2 has term-vt problems after updating the BSD to 2.0 the Backspace button adds a space instead of removing it.

    Make (HW) downgrade with term-vt a f**kg nightmare with every typo you have to close and start over

    I mite try that fix later but I can't see if fixing 1.1.3 and 1.1.2 problems

    is the “SUID Lib Fix” enough, or does each application that is failing due to the user folder relocation also require the same treatment? any other examples of apps that can be straightened out w/ this method... netservices perhaps..?

    I installed the "SUID Lib Fix". After that everything stopped working!
    Every third-party-app besides the installer crashes after start.

    I tried to connect with SSH to fix the problem, but:
    dyld: Library not loaded: /usr/local/arm-apple-darwin/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib
    Referenced from: /bin/ls
    Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:
    /usr/lib/libgcc_s.1.dylib: stat() failed with errno=62

    This happens with every Unix-command.

    My only hope is, that i can fix it with SCP. This seems to work.

    PLEASE CAN ANYBODY TELL ME HOW I CAN UNDO THE CHANGES FROM THAT F****** SUID LIB FIX?
