Question [1.1.1/1.1.2/1.1.3] Would it be possible to Dual-Boot any of those 3 firmwares?

Hypothetically, would it be possible to dual-boot two firmwares. such as 1.1.2/1.1.3 or 1.1.1/1.1.3 or 1.1.1/1.1.2, and have the baseband of the older firmware. When the phone turns on there would be a screen that would ask you which firmware you want to run. Once you choose, the apple logo loading screen would show up and you would be set to go. Would this be possible?

    Thanks,
    DJ McG

P.S. I posted this in General and Native Software because I thought it fit in both.

    hmmm....interesting.....

    on first thoughts.....

Would need to add partitions for dif firmwares.
Would need a boot selection menu\
Firmwares would need to be loaded manually to partitions

    Doesn't seem impossible,

    But why???????

Because, I want to have 1.1.3, but I want to keep 1.1.2 because I can use Customize and SummerBoard. I would like to be able to do both and have the extra features. Plus, I could load one firmware that has some apps hidden that I don't want friends or family to look at like email, text, etc. I could load that firmware when I was showing people or something. Why would you want to dual boot on a computer?

first of waste of precious disk space
second not convenient , u no ppl are always updating their creations so its just a matter of time b4 u get ya progs working with da latest fw. Remember this, newer is always better, so why go back to the old stuff; I no its just a concept but not practical.
Now one thing I would like 2 c is having an aphone with a diff os . Like windows mobile ex or w.e hmm vista portable just 2 name a few.

Ok, well apparently this wasn't as goo of an idea as I originally thought...

But Vista on the iPhone would be pretty sweet, I don't like Windows Mobile though. Maybe even make it so Mac OS X Leopard could run on the iPhone, now that owuld be sweet.

Windows CE is a possibility as there is a tool called Platform Builder which can customize the drivers and such. Vista is completely out of the question for obvious reasons, and technically the iPhone does run Mac OS X leopard, it's just that it runs SpringBoard/UIKit instead of Aqua/Cocoa, and there is absolutely no chance that Apple is going to release the source code for that any time soon.

I know this is a very old post, but I must reply.

SEE! Now the Dev Team is dual booting 1.2.0 and 1.1.x! And you all thought it would be pointless and impossible!! If the Dev Team doesnt think so, then its not!

Sorry, just had to put that out there
