I have restored my phone like 3 times and spent the entire day yesterday searching on diff forums for a answer.
The bottom line is I tried 3 different fixes I found on the web but still cant view youtube on edge.Mail,safari,weather and maps works fine.
I get a "Youtube is not available message" there was one fix that caused me not to get that message but instead just keep loading until i got "unable to connect" message.
Ive done everything I found like uninstalling the fix restarting then reinstalling the fix with the same results.
I have a OTB 1.1.2 downgraded to 1.1.1 then JB then 1.1.2>1.1.3 soft.
I also tried all this on 1.1.2.
This is my first post in these forums because I usually find answers on my own.

I just noticed that if i visit youtube on wifi which works fine then go to edge it sometimes will play the video.But only ones preloaded i guess.Search is not even a chance on edge.

Wow had a feeling i would get that "stop asking same questions" response.
As stated I spent the entire day searching the web with no luck.
I promise you im posting because its my last resort.

youtube looks really shitty on edge anyway just so you know. they get view'd in different quality formats and it jus look unwatchable lol

but you didn't specify what provider your on. i was on tmobile and it worked fine with the real unlimited data plan but doesn't work when im on tzones edge. im over it cuz i dont watch that thing much anyway but it works flawless when im on a wifi hotspot...

another thing to try, is tinytube.net it works awesome and is my replacement for youtube.app

now only if someone could create a program that uses the tinytube.net search function implemented into a program then just view's it in that program. so i wouldn't have to go to tinytube.net and then go through the search function. hmmmmmm

I came across a post that stated bigboss has a youtube app that worked but after adding all his sources im not seeing anything about youtube to install.

Hey what is going on. just want to put my 2 cents in. i have 1.1.1 and could not get youtube to work for shit. Now my replacement is bigboss's youtube web player, its similar to the reg one, only you dont need to replace 3 files or activate.

I must admit, it is rather slow on edge. Now with this tinytube player you posted (i wasn't aware of it) does it work at good speed with edge or is it just the same? I dont know will reply and if anyone wants to know how it went PM me because i probably wont be able to find this thread lol

EDIT: right from native installer, add bigboss source ... there is only one... after you have that added, scroll down to "unlock that iphone". Should be at the bottom of list if im not wrong.

Also, make sure you have BSD subsystem, and it was probably my post you read about the web player lol i posted on a couple

johnny G, your main problem was ur tzones lol and there is no fix for it even til this date.

libertyben, you need to install those fixes for 1.1.1 youtube.app to work. should work after you do that.

and youtube jus goes slow on edge, its downloading a video on the slowest network possible lol on top of that it looks like complete shit.

i noticed on the tinytube.net route, you can hit "wifi" and it takes a bit longer but doesn't look like shit when it plays.

From what you guys are saying i shoulndt even bother.
All in all i wont have youtube or map locater.Guess i can live with that for 5.99.
I checked under "unlock that iphone" and saw nothing on any web app.
Ill keep researching.
