Ahhh... copy them into /var/root/Libary/Widgets/

I just tried this with the baseball widget. Launches, but doesn't completely work. My guess is it's a crap shoot as to which work and which don't. One thing to watch out for: you should tar up the widget before you copy it over. scp doesn't seem to like recursively copying widgets as directories.

Experienced the same... unfortunately it seems only fews Widgets can be run without issues and fully operational.

hw do i get the widget installation file.. when i download from the Apple website.. they get installed on my comp.. n if i say cancel..they remain zipped..
where do i get the exactl file i need to place in the /widgets folder?

You'll find them in these two places!

/Users/username/Library/Widgets/
/Library/Widgets/
