I have my recently restored 1.1.4 iphone with a few cities added:

- Buenos Aires
- Villa Gesell

My problem is weather for Buenos Aires shows incorrectly, mostly 5C more than actual measurement. I just asked a friend who also has an iphone via MSN and Buenos Aires shows for him 15C and mine 19C. Villa Gesell shows the same for both of us.

Any idea on what can be wrong?

Before the restore I had the same problem and when I restored, it was a fresh one, I mean, I configured the phone as a new one and not restored my previous data from backup.

Its not the phone's fault. It's a misread/interpreted data problem at Yahoo or the weather service center for iPhone.

iPhone just receives the info, does not calculate from current conditions.

I have to say I am not sure. My girlfriend has an iPhone aswell, hacktivated of cause. In most cases both show the same temperture for the city we are in. We had some cases beeing in Europe where one would show 25C, the other 24C at the same time.
My guess would be the following. The information is put together by Yahoo weather and updated of cause. They probably do have more than one server running to server the weather forecast for millions of users and other services. iPhone users are just a part of the story. They probably run a lot of servers for that one service and load balance. So if the servers are not in sync at all time, I might get a forcast at 4pm that was updated at 3:30pm, my girlfried one that was last updated at 3:15 (from another server) without noticing we get information from different servers.
I dont know anything about Yahoos infrastructure for that purpose but maybe this the reason.
