I'm running a jailbroken 1.1.4 iPhone that up till a few hours ago was fine. I installed Kate and WeLyrics at the same time. After restarting, I can get to my home screen and select an app. But once it gets to the main screen of what ever app I select, the touch screen appears to just stop working. It does it on every single app I have. I've done a normal restart, hard restart and it's still doing it. Also, when restarting I've seen black and white bars as its starting back up superimposed over the apple logo. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this before I have to wipe and redo the whole thing?

Any help at all would be appreciated and if I left out a piece of important information please let me know. I'd love to get this fixed and not be without my phone all day :-)

I think you should try to uninstall some apps as you probably have reached the number of installed applications limit.

You can use SFTP (WinSCP or CyberDuck) to move some apps out of the Applications folder.

It should solve your problem.

Try reset all settings first... My iphone suddenlt have no sound even after restoring many many times... then, I decided to reset all settings and it works again...

I've been having the same issue. Mainly, I think it is with the skrew common and vwallpaper apps. At least, that is what I observed after restoring and reinstalling all of my apps about 4 times over for the past 2 days. 1.1.4 iLiberty+. I finally get everything working (including welyrics) except Kate. That really messes with my phone. Although working apps, the bootup screen with the Apple logo still has that glitchy look of polka-lines. (black and wite lines... forgive me for the term, just for the lack of a better one).
Piece of advise, with 1.1.4, stay away from the beta apps and the newly released ones.

I'm having the same problem, it appeaqrs to be with the Kate app, which is one of the featured apps on the installer home page.

I googled the problem and found this thread http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum...e-27569-3.html one personb appears to have a fix but I can't work it out, it looks like i'm going to be doing another restore

still having issues with that app, i wonder how deep it goes this time now that they working with installer itslef............

i too installed this earlier today and now my phone is effed up =( i tried to uninstall it via iphonebrowser but it didnt work right. looks like im going to have to restore again dammit.

Stay away from that piece of crap app! I cant beleive they want people to pay for such a dodgy bit of software. What a joke....

huh, weird... i have been using Caterpillar for the last few weeks (1.2.1) w/out incident and did update to Kate yesterday, and after much usage i haven't seen any weirdness or touchscreen problems to speak of whatsoever.

i should mention that i install every applet *except* the lockscreen calendar, i personally have no use for it as i am intentionally late and disorganized myself (hail Eris!)... i wonder if this is the offending portion? just thought i should mention, will update if i do indeed develop said issues though..!
