Hey Guys,


One of my biggest problems is where I generally am located uses a VPN client for wireless.

I was wondering if someone can make a VPN client for the iphone? if at all possible? I mean, I know there is a VPN for the iPhone, but would it be possible to do something like the Cisco VPN client? My college does not let me do the normal VPN through iPhone

But most colleges across the country use Cisco's VPN client.

I know Cisco is actually developing a VPN for the iphone but I was wondering if someone has already made one.

Check if the other end support pptp.
Most colleges support them as well.

It would be nice (and i would love to replace Blackberry for my iPhone), although Cisco VPN is an IPSEC implementation, not a plain M$ PPTP/generic L2TP implementation -- thats why current iPhone VPN does not work -- and IPSEC still uses some extra CPU. IDK however how much exactly on the iPhone, but should not be that much, taken you will not be transmitting in Gbps speeds.

requires root security certificate
Does any one know how to import a root security certificate to the Iphone

vpnc is now available through Cydia, installed it but do not know how to launch it... or set it up...

can you provide the link to download the Cydia vpnc. I'll take a look
