Has anyone successfully used UITextField yet? When I try to use it, it crashed when it tries to attach to the Field Editor. I don't have a great Cocoa background so I don't really know if I need to build a UIFieldEditor. The UIFieldEditor method + (id)sharedFieldEditor returns a non-nil value so I assume that means there is already (automagically?) a FieldEditor for all Text Fields to use.

Anyone have anything to add/suggest? I've tried lots of variations of things I thougt might work. This might be tied to the problem with UIWebView, compiling against UIFieldEditor forced me to comment out a lot of the contents in UIWebView to even be able to build.

I've had the same problem. I'm not really sure what it's for, I found it easier to just subclass UITextLabel or UITextView for most things. There are plenty of bugs in the UIKit.
