i have the same problem using voipbusterpro

I can see in my PC a message saying I connected from another computer, it's my iphone. But.... i still have the error....

Could someone make a tutorial of how to configure and make the Siphon work?!
I've installed it and tried to register some VOIP provider but they came with their own software. I cant find the parameters to put in Siphon!

Those parameters are different per provider. The most important is the SIP-server, usually something like sip.providername.com

how the hell do you get sound, i got mine working, remote side can here me perfectly but i cant here anything, in the ipod, everthings turned up volume is maxed out and im using the headphones... so whats wrong????

Could anybody who got it working let me know which sip provider they are using and with what settings?

WHY Touchmods VOIP/SIP APPLICATION CANNOT USE IPHONE INBUILT MICROPHONE?

When you go to their website it looks like obvious you need one external - but it is not so obvious to me why I do need one if there is one out of the box....

Please explain.

The sound with their application is one big mess. We on this forum are all hoping that the new open-source developers will clear it up.

However, I think you should note that there are two applications: Touchmods SIP-VoIP for the iPod Touch, obviously with an external microphone, and Siphon for the iPhone. It can (probably) use the internal microphone, but not the internal speaker, and with the headset the sound level is very low... again, a big mess. Let's hope for a speedy improvement.

I do get the same error.... when I put proper justvoip.com settings I get:

Connection error
Verify your account parameters

at the same time my justvoip app on PC, says "You have logged on an other computer"

Waiting for somebody to fix it out.

I was using SIP/Voip of Touchmods and it was working fine appart of the fact that nobody could hear me (the external microphone problem)

I have installed the Siphon from Free version 1.1.3

You cannot change the "sip provider" but you can cheat assigning freephonie.net with your sip provider IP: with these instructions

Then it works but you the called party still cannot hear you....

Even if on French websites they say that the difference between Free Siphon and Touchmods Siphon is that the first can use internal microphone as they state here:

i have tried 'Siphon 1.1.3' and 'Touchmods Siphon 1.0'
in both, u cant save the settings ie.it says saved but reverts back to defaults once u return to the springboard.
i have tried vyke.com (sip.vyke.com) as well as voipstunt.com (sip.voipstunt.com) but either it just freezes or gives 'Verify your account info' message when u press the SIP button on the dialpad.
can someone plz provide a set of basic setting up steps including an example with a working sip provider (including which exact name sip name shud be use)??
