Works - but no iTunes library...
Thanks for the great info! I got the mod applied by downloading the GH_TTR_Mod ZIP file to my PC and overwriting the correct files using your post. It's working fine, except....
I can't use any songs from my iTunes library. I get the message: "Sorry, nothing matches your library". I have a hunch that it's related to the fact that 1.1.3 and above uses the "mobile" user instead of "root" for everything.
Any clue as to how this can be repaired? Again, thanks for your help!

i'd assume you would simply need to
chown -R mobile /Applications/TTR

Hmm. I get the Guitar Hero theme on TTR but when I press a song to download, it says downloading but no songs appear in the downloaded list. Also, I cant use songs from iTunes library. I get Sorry nothing matches your library.

What does this have to do with Software Unlock ?
Moved to Native Software and title renamed.

If you just copy over all of the images (12 total) (EXCEPT the 0KB whiteglow.png file, do NOT copy this) in the GH3 mod to your Applications/TTR.app/ folder, you will have a working Guitar Hero 3 moded TTR. Get just the images here -> LINK
If you get the "Sorry, No Tracks in iTunes Library" message, the TTR server is probably down.
If you want to be most awexome, get the Guitar Hero 3 tracks and taps here:
http://www.ipodtouchfans.com/forums/...ad.php?t=40817
(just follow his install instructions)
Run the following command after or before installing Music and Taps:
Code:
chmod -R 755 /var/root/Media/TTR/
Rock on!

I did all the right stuff. I put the mp3 in the music foler and the tap in in tap folder but I still get no songs in my downloaded songs list.

One thing you might try, my /var/root/Media/TTR folder and Tap and Music folders were all set to 700 permissions. When set that way I couldn't see anything before either.
Use the following command:
chmod -R 755 /var/root/Media/TTR/
Sorry, but I had done this before adding the tracks so I forgot that it was important. You should be all good now.

What exactly did you do? What system are you running? Can you SSH into the phone?
If you copied some files into the TTR.app/ folder, try deleting the entire folder.
Are you sure you know how to restore? It can be tricky... press and hold the on/off button and home buttons until the apple logo comes up, keep holding until the apple logo goes black, count "1 one thousand", "2 one thousand", and release the on/off button only. You should get the connect to iTunes screen (so go ahead and connect it while holding home). If you see the apple logo again you waited too long. If it boots into the phone, you didn't wait long enough.
