Hello Everyone,

I installed swaptunes last night and everything went ok. Now, when i swap my library, everything is empty (good). However, wheb i hook up my iphone to the second mac to sync, it says my iphone is tied to another computer and it gives me choices to "erase and sync" or "cancel". What do i do, i dont want to lose my other music...

If you erase and sync (which you're suppose to do) swap tunes will make a new library on your iphone. Then you sync it from your friends mac/pc so all the songs/photos wil get into your iphone.

Now this will be in your new library. You will not have your old information on your iphone. For that run swap tunes and you'll return to your own previous library

I'd make sure to turn auto sync off.. and prior to sync'ing to the second computer (the one that's not your main).. make sure you check off address book, photo's.. all they syncs except music and movie.. because swap tunes creates a separate itunes library for your music and movies..

Also.. make sure you're on the right library prior to syncing... or you'll erase the wrong library..

Also... never let iTunes restore your iPhone from a backup if you aren't sync'ing to your own computer.. you'll end up having a restore from your friend's iPhone profile from the backup created on their computer.. =P

I like this little Program, anyway since 1.1.3 it's not working, so I checked
the .sh program and modified the all entries to the correct new directories
[/var/mobile/Media/iTunes_Control], copied all to
the Application directory, gave the 0755 permission to the .sh and .plist file
and now it's working on my 1.1.4 as well.

Here now how it works for me,

Sync with iTunes.
Install program
Get into your phone with WinSCP or similar and go to the
Appilication / SwapTunes.app inside u find swapTunes.sh

Go EDIT and copy this over the existing lines without the [] brakes:

Save, make shure you have 0755 permission set.

Close WinSCP

Now you can swap your iTunes library and could sync with an other
computer. Keep in mind that on the other system has to be some things done in advance, like unchecking the automatic sync button as well as the contacts and calender syncing checkboxes, otherwise you will have your friends contacts and calender entries in your phone.

If you like to have differnt librarys synced with your own computer you can do this
by copying your own two iTunes files on your computer:

iTunes Library.itl & iTunes Music Library.xml

For myself I'm doing this by adding them to .rar files like Gerti's_music.rar
then you can make your changes in iTunes, syncing and save it somwhere.
Then you swap your library on the phone and make your changes again in iTunes and sync it again. By
adding this to another .rar like Gerti's_Speech or so u have hidden things on your phone by just swapping the libraries.
