Hey guys,

I have installed Supreme Preferences and one day I felt like tinkering with the setting of sensitivity. I had lowered the sensitivity to 0.0 (far left). Once I had done that my phone started to crash constantly. Even when on safe mode the phone will continue to crash.

I was thinking about the possibility of maybe using iphonebrowser to delete the Supreme Preferences app and that will take care of it. I haven't tried it yet. I'm willing to try anything as long as it doesn't involve restoring my iPhone.

Can anyone help me please...I would really appreciate it.

I forgot to mention my iPhone is Unlocked and Jailbroken on Tmobile firmware 2.0.

Uninstalling Supreme Prefs will definitely not solve this problem.

We have warned the guy who distributes this package that including the Touch menu was a bad idea (see this thread), but he hasn't decided to remove it... A bit irresponsible.

You can solve your problem either the radical way -- deleting /var/mobile/Library/Preferences/com.apple.springboard.plist -- or the precise but more complicated way: editing that file (use the program from the link in my signature) to change the value of the key SBFingerProjection (i.e. right below where it says <key>SBFingerProjection</key>, change <real>0.0</real> to <real>3.5</real> ).

In both cases you must turn the phone off and then on again after making the change.

i also need assistance on deleting supreme preferences. i downloaded it but didnt like it especially the battery icon % on the top right side which doesnt work for my jailbroken iphone 3g.

i deleted supreme preferences using cydia, manage < packages < ... deleted supreme preferences...

but my battery logo on the top right hand is still messed up showing it as 0% battery left.... when my battery is fully charged.

is there any way to correct this? thank you!!!!

You mean you still see the percentage instead of the logo? One way to solve it is to install Supreme Preferences again, switch off numeric battery, and uninstall again. But there are many programs that can change this setting. For instance, if you have SBSettings, you can select More and then Extras to find a switch.

That's not a ''battery percentage'' bug from sp, sbsettings or whatever. your probably on 3.0, right? That's your bug right there.

Same problem but on 2.2.1 firmware .

I downloaded and instaled Supreme preferences .
When I make respring , my iphone every time showed black screen.
Then I restarted device but I see that apple logo every time.
My iphone can't be started .

It is the same way to fix that problem using iphone browser ?

In one earlier version, a setting "Disable device until next sync with iTunes" was included. I guess it's a certain brand of humor. It could apparently be undone with a sync to iTunes.

If that isn't your problem, perhaps iPhoneBrowser can help. Try to delete /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/SupremePreferences.dylib. It may be responsible for the problem, because it attempts to change the lockscreen, apparently.

You think you install a change to your preference menu, but in fact you install a lot more. There's not just this, you also install WebViewController: another MobileSubstrate plugin, to put some weblinks and a Donate button in your Settings menu.

Anyway, I have already complained about iMario's design decisions elsewhere (though including someone else's JavaScript bookmarklet "find in page" and naming it "SP 3.0: Find in Page" is a new low, I guess).

Can you say anything positive? I'm seriously done with your negative posts all the time.

There are a lot of nice settings in there, and as for me, i have had NO problems at all. Installed it on iPhone 3G, friends iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 2G. There are some Mobile Substrate tweaks out there that conflict with my settings; this get's fixed ASAP.

And then again, a lot of people are way too easy; WinterBoard does not respring anymore OMG OMG OMG, i'm gonna restore my device... Supreme Preferences totalllyyyyy suuuckkks!!! it screwed up my device!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just ask yourself this: would i put it on Cydia so a lot of people need to restore their device?

I've said several positive things in the other thread, and I like the fact that you've made a big effort to provide lots of useful hidden settings.

Along with that, I have given some criticism (about the large amount of useless stuff, the self-glorification, renaming an openly available bookmarklet after your package, putting in settings that are bound to create problems). It started as constructive criticism in hopes that you'd use it to improve your package... turns out it was just criticism.

You are right that many people panic very fast and often don't blame the right application/package/person. That's annoying and unfair. But at least to some extent, Supreme Preferences has asked for that by creating unnecessary complications and risks for users.

Let me conclude by thanking you for a huge effort that is on balance beneficial to the users. You seem to be the only person putting in that kind of work on the Settings menu at the moment, so, well done.
