SummerBoard does really ugly Textrendering

i've noticed, that since i installed summerboard, which is a great app, the text label of the apps are really ugly.
they seem to be like "white bold". you still can read it but well, its not nice.

is this a known bug, that occur to many users, or is there something specific going on with my iphone?

After installing the summerboard, i got an icon showing paper,pencil and ruler!!but no title????
I click on it it hangs, anyone got it? How to remove it?

So remove using WinSCP or iBrickr?

Is there any way to change or alter the settings for SummerBoard? The background I am using is sorta white so now that the text has switched back to a whiter color it is hard to read the text. I sorta liked it better when the text was a bit grey.
