well, as the title says, my iPhone won't send SMS messages to some people, namely my girlfriend. We are both with the same provider, Rogers. I can send lots of messages to other people, and she can receive messages from other people, but whenever I try to have a conversation with her I need to delete the history before sending a message to her. It only seems to work when there is no history between us at all. I thought it might have been a poor memory management issue with the SMS so I deleted a lot of the conversations with all my friends, but it still did it with her. I keep getting error sending message. Any ideas?

so im not the only one..i have been having the same probably..as of today..weird..i use iSMS and that seems to send txt to the people i cant with the regular SMS.app but i would still like to be able to use the SMS app...

yea, same here. I want to use the programs that came with the damn thing. I just got off the phone with Rogers and they reset my profile, didn't help.
Another thing that I noticed today was that it's dropping calls in the middle. I was on the phone with a friend of mine and my phone beeped three times and then said call ended. I was on the phone with Rogers and it didn't beep, just said call ended. I thought it might have been her resetting my phone, but who knows.
where do you get iSMS?

i have the same issue as you guys, some people you cant reply to their sms, i use weTool and it works fine, that program doesnt care if i have history or not with that person it sends it anyways, i think its the SMS app that causes that. and yeah there are a lot of people who has this problem

update: okay, found weTool. Gonna give it a try. Still rather have the phone work properly than install 3rd party apps

i have this one and only one person so far, its so odd. i have tried deleting thier contact and making a new one but same thing. and same with mac_angel i have to delete the history after every msg to get around it. otherwise i stop recieving msgs from this person.

when i try to send it the sending bar goes 8/10 the way sits a little then "send failed"

im on fido and its another fido number. called fido and the chick said sometimes sms get "jammed" and you have to turn your phone off and on to "un jam it" which does nothing.

strange how this seems to be happening on Canadian networks (Rogers & Fido) Or just Rogers since they own Fido...

yea, exactly. I've tried deleting the contact and re-entering it. It's just the one person. My phone doesn't like my gf. Guess I should get a new one. GF that is, lol. Turning the phone on and off doesn't work. And I don't like the weTools. I just want something simple for texting. That just seems to want to forward or whatever and I have to keep putting in the name. Still trying to figure out where to get iSMS

i might try maybe adding a 1 infront of the phone number, is your number ported? is your gf's number ported? because mines ported and im pretty sure the person im having issues with is too. i dont know why this would make a difference.

I've got the same problem though i'm in hong kong. I've got one particular person that i can't send SMS with. I've got an SMS internationally, SMS contact info - no problem. But when i reply back - sending process to 8/10 then tells me 'sending error message'.
