[Sendsong] How do I install an old version of an app?
I've been trying to install the Sendsong app and getting an error msg saying the current version (0.31-beta-113) only works with Firmware 1.1.3.
My iphone is 1.1.2 OTB.
I've been toying around with it but I haven't been able to figure out how to install an older version of the app.
Any help would be appreciated.
I am in exactly the same situation as you are! anyone out there that can help us, please do. I dont have access to a computer 24/7 so cannot get to change the file extensions to create custome ringtones.
i was having the same problem, i wrote to erica, and here have instructions to install and its work fine:
Well because you have 1.1.1/1.1.2, you will have to download the app
from its respective page
(http://ericasadun.com/ftp/Applications/SendSong, v 0.30 will do just
fine) next you will
need to use your filebrowsing system up and running, WinSCP for
Windows or CyberDuck for Mac. Remember you need to have BSD Subsystem
and OpenSSH insatlled.
To set up WinSCP: http://modmyifone.com/wiki/index.php/SSH_on_Windows
To set up CyberDuck (Steps 4-6):
Next, go to your applications folder, you should see all the apps you
have installed including SMS, Stocks etc. Then, make a folder called
SSong.app. After you make the folder, put every file you downloaded
into there, then highlight them all, then make the properties or
permissions 0755. After you are done with that, reboot your phone and
you should be good to go.
