upload it to /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app/ over the orginal file
then upload the rogers.png to .../root/Library/Customize/CarrierImages/"customfolder"
reboot and customize

You wont know when your roaming...Springboard "thinks" your on AT&T all the time

I did this mod to display an Apple icon instead of seeing the word "Rogers" everyday. Just take note that if you do the springboard mod below, make sure you get the firmware versions right. I nuked my iPhone OS by loading an old 1.0.2 springboard patch to 1.1.1. Had to restore, and find the 1.1.1 springboard patch.

Regarding the roaming issue, it is not too much of a problem overall for me at least since 99% of the time I know I'm on Rogers anyway. When I go to the US, I do a quick manual verification in the settings as I approach the border or once I pass into ATT or TMobile territory. This is how to know if you are roaming, not too difficult.
