[Req] Password protect chosen apps
have you ever let someone look at your iPhone? And they try to look at your text messages or emails, or play with customize or go on the Internet? Well f someone could develop an apps that would create a list of all apps installed, then whichever ones you select you could have a password protected screen show up before you can access the app.
Here is an icon I made:

This icon could be for the master control app to control passwords, apps that are protected etc. Or it could just be like the RiPDev Caterpillar and add a section to the bottom of Preferences.app and could be controlled fom settings.
Here is what the password screen could look like:

When you start the app, it could take a minute or less to load all of the apps installed by checking the /Applications folder. Then you would see a screen that would show up like this:
Applications >
Preferences >
Then you could choose Applications it would look like this:
System >
------------------------
MobileSMS x
MobilePhone x
MobileMusicPlayer x
MobileStore x
[x would actually be a check mark which would mean it is set to be password protected]
If you select System then you would see:
Startup x
Shutdown x
Unlock x
Startup would ask for a password when the phone is turned on, Shutdown would ask for a password to turn the phone off, and unlock would ask for the password after sliding the unlock slider. Advantages of this would be you could use letters and numbers instead of just numbers.
When you select Preferences it would show up like this
Appearance >
Password >
Attempts >
Time Limit >
Messages >
Appearance would allow you to change the way the enter password screen looks when opening an app. This would not apply to startup, shutdown, and unlock.
Password obviously changes the password.
Attempts lets you choose the number of attempts to unlock before the app is closed and you have to wait 15 minutes to try again.
Messages lets you customize the access granted or denied message. The default messages would be:
Successful:
ACCESS GRANTED: Successfully entered password
Unsuccessful:
ACCESS DENIED: Entered incorrect password
X more attempts until lockout
Maximum Number of Attempts reached:
LOCKOUT: Maximum number of attempts reached. Please wait X amount of time to try again.
I think this would be an incredible app because it allows for about 1.033314797x10^40 possiblities. Yes that is scientific notation. That is over 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 ,000 possibilities! With numbers only there is only 362,880 different combinations. There is much more security with the use of numbers and letters. I am willing to create graphics and help code this app if I can build the toolchain and learn to code. I am in the process of building the toolchain on my other PC. So any help teaching me would be appreciated.
Thanks,
DJ McG
P.S. Thumbs up is appreciated!

i agree with you 100% right now im crazy for the win version to get out!!!!
btw i saw on another post that this could even be made by a lot easier way
with the parental control on v. 2, take a look at this SS
http://s2.supload.com/gal/0804031568/0/
(including the plist edit)
if we could put sms or any other app on that parental control we have fully achive the password protection app
what if we extract the parental control from the version 2 and intigrated it onto any other version, will it work?
just my crazy thought
