[Req] Lock Application

Hello Fellas...

I know that´s a stupid ideia... but i want to know
if exist a method create a ICON (app) to LOCK the Iphone.

My on/off (lock button) does not respond anymore (sometimes only)
and i want to know if exist a application that do the same of 1 click in this button.

Because i do not want to wait the auto-lock feature...
I dont like it... when i want to use installer i have to disable this..and when i playing some games..i have to disable too...

Anyone ?

There us probably a command and you could create an app that executes the command to lock the screen

Well, like I said there is probabl a command that will do this. Someone would have to do some sigging to find out though.

This is just a guess, but I see on installer there is a program(actually 2 or 3 of em) called RESPRING... maybe you can use this program... though Im not sure if it prompts you for your password when you use it. Just a thought

My power (sleep/wake) button has been broken for the last month, however any time i restore it starts working fine. So it has to be the jailbreak for me, i dont know about you guys tho. ANY time i want to turn the screen off I have to open the respring.app Im getting pissed having to do it every fu*&ing time. Any help would be appreciated. If i could code i would make it but i have vista and i dont feel like learning to code just for a sleep.app

I figure that there should be a way to code it so that double tapping the home button puts it to sleep... If not it should be easy enough to do

I've been wondering the same thing.

I think Apple should make certain getures to be usable to trigger certain commands (locking the phone/ returning to the springboard) when the user is in any application. Like tapping each corner of the screen, or making a 'Zorro' sign, or whatever.

That way we would have less reasons to use the buttons on the phone and reduce the risk of breaking them.

In any case, I hope my iPhone will be durable and reliable enough to stand the many years of use that I intend to put it through. (I've only used 2 other phones since 2001 :p)
