[Req] iCal events on "Slide to unlock" screen

Hello! I don@t know if this will work, but does someone think it would be possible to add iCals events of the day under the Date and Time in the "Slide to unlock"-screen? I have added a picture to show what I mean. On the upgrade to 1.1.1 it was possible to double tap the Homebutton and it gave an extra iPod-controller to that place. Then I got the idea that it could be possible to add something else there like the events.

It would be great if someone could do this!

Yeah, upcoming events on the initial screen is something very important imho for real use. On Windows Mobile, there's for example Spb Mobile Shell, something I wouldn't want to do without since I don't have to 1. click the lock screen away, 2. open the calender app, but see what's up today without any action required.

I think this is possible. There are many battery icon modifications out there, where you get stylish battery level representation. I assume this works as an app, running in the background. If it is possible to extract ical infro from that app, or another underlying service modifyind this battery icon it may work. Any iPhone devs can confirm this?

EDIT: Or just change the saved and default background picture somehow... Have a service to this in the background. I will assume the dev has access to these files by looking at apps such as iFlicr. Dont know if they will be refreshed though

I'm very glad to see that so many like this idea! Let's hope someone who knows how it could be done sees this! If I knew how to program I would love to do it, but I know nothing about it unfortunately.
