Has anyone had any luck using an FTP client with the iPhone? I've searched the forum looking for an easy to use FTP application for iPhone. I would like to be able to log onto FTP sites from my iPhone to download drivers when I'm in the field. I've tried the ncftp however it is awkward to use. I would be gracious to anyone with experience using such a client if they have any recommendations.

hmm... this could be really handy.

I think I might have to dust off some of my rusty programming skills and do some iPhone programing.

ehm what about our friend openssh ? use sftp and thats it.

I think he's talking about the other way around.

An ftp client that runs on your iPhone that you can access outside servers with.

That's right the client runs on the iphone. It could
have a nice interface like mobilefinder, but allow ftp addresses
to be entered, andfiles downloaded into directories on the
iPhone. I would not need to carry a laptop ever again!
Any ideas, port over filezilla ?
Ideas?
