[Req] Alternative Mp3-Player - Possible?
Okay, I hope you already see my point. I really hate the fact, that I just can hook-up my iPhone with one Mac/PC to sync with my music. Or else, I have to use SwapLib, whats a pain too, because maybe I want to hear tracks from both Libraries.
So, wouldn't it be possible to create an MusicPlayer-Like App that goes to a definied Folder on the iPhone that reads Mp3's (e.g. /var/mobile/Media/MP3)? I don't have a clue about programming/compiling etc, so I can't start with anything. But thats just my idea, that was in my head the whole time. You get my point?
Cheers,
My FW way:
1.1.1 JB/unlocked ->1.1.3 JB/unlocked ->1.1.1 locked ->1.0.2 JB/unlocked ->1.1.1 JB/unlocked. ->1.1.2 JB/locked ->fxxcked up not booting ->
1.1.1 JB/unlocked ->1.1.2 JB/unlocked ->1.1.3 JB/unlocked ->fxxcked up, spinning wheel of death ->restored 1.1.3 ->1.1.3 JB/unlocked -> 1.1.4 JB/unlocked ... Now 3.1.3

You could probably rig something up pretty easily in Safari with a local directory listing of a folder with mp3s in it, but each mp3 would play separately, no next/previous tracks. It wouldn't be perfect, but its better than nothing.

yep. i already tried that out. but my point is, to get an application for this. like the ipod for the iphone. but just without this stupid itunes-bound-on-sync. is this impossible?
there are many apps that play mp3s e.g. like Pianist or Drummer, those are mp3s or wavs playing on a press of a button. so it theoretically be possible to work out. but ye as i said. i hvae no clue about programming.

Well CorePayer should play any media file when it comes out.

Yeah, coreplayer is coming, though that will be more for video. It should still work. The SDK doesn't allow file access, so don't look for any help from Apple.
