I am not sure of a way to be able to patch this. It will do it whenever an unathorized product docks with the iPhone.

Here are the facts:
- Apple has records of which iPhones have been activated through AT&T. They can bring up this information based on your serial number or phone number
AT THE STORE or OVER THE PHONE

[REQ} App/setting to disable "not made for iphone" message
I just got a universal dock for my iphone (older model), and I keep getting the "this accessory is not made for iphone" message, asking me to either switch to airplane mode or ignore.
Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone out there could build a simple app to disable this message, as I am sure most ppl are probably like me, and will just hit the ignore button and live with any static/interference the phone causes.

Also (and more annoyingly), I just noticed that not only do I not get any audio output in the ipod app while docked, if the phone rings or gets a sms it doesn't make any noise either.
Just to be sure I tried the above fix and I still get the same message when connecting to the older uni dock (and the same no audio issues). If it helps, I just want to use the uni dock to sync and charge the iphone...only got it because I wanted the phone to stand upright without taking the Agent 18 case off (and I wanted a real-ish dock...not a paper one or whatever).
EDIT: Maybe the above did do something, as it seems to ring and sms alert now (still no audio from the iphone speaker in the ipod app though)...but I still get the "device might cause interference and is not for iphone" message if I get a sms or wake the phone. Does anyone know what needs to be edited/modded/patched for get rid of that message as well?

After more testing the popup still comes up randomly (guessing when the phone comes out of sleep state for a second to check for mail or run part of Kate)...and although the ringer always works, for sms or calendar events its about 50/50. Almost as annoying is the fact that when I do get a sms, the popup hides the preview making me unlock the phone just to see who sms'ed me.
Someone out there must know what needs to be modded to get rid of this. I really don't want to spend $50 more just to get a new "universal" dock due to an auth chip, and there must be other people out there who feel the same way...as I am not after spoofing the auth system...rather just not bothering with that popup (either via patch or hex editing out the section that causes that popup to occur in the first place).
