Is the Shutdown.app a clean way to shut down the iPhone? I noticed when I used it, it just goes to black instead of doing a pinwheel and closing everything. Not doubting your app, I am using it. Just was wondering.

fyi each of the things this app does you can do in one line of code each, since you said you are using a binary to lock the phone or shutdown or whatever. and fyi an easy way to lock the phone is set statusbar type to 6 or 7 and itll lock the phone

The Lock application seems to turn off the application named "insomnia". It seems to have slightly different behavior from the iphone sleep button. Is there any way to fix that? Thanks

Rainbows (the author of this app) gives credit to Dave Henriksen for the Shutdown binary.

"shutdown -h" is a common command line method to shutdown an Operating System based on Unix, Linux, etc...

The pinwheel is on the shutdown icon in the middle of the screen, it is not easy to see it.

Sorry misspelled the word insomnia in the earlier post.

Lock.app is in fact a simple script that restarts the Springboard, so all the apps started with Springboard or who patches it will get closed.

The advice given by drunknbass solves this problem.
Now if he wants to provide a binary, i will include it in Lock.app.
