I got it but im not so sure wut its usage is... besides the obvious
    it has like...
    Enable Hour PM (8,9,10,11,12)
    Disable hourse AM (5,6,7,8,9)

Does that mean that For pm time u can enable airplane mode for like 8, 9, bla bla bla hours?

spyboy, it basically turns off the phone at night and turns it on in the morning. It saves battery life and allows you not to be disturbed by phone calls. It just makes it a bit easier to implement this automatically. I think that it can be used for other things if it can be made to enable or disable the ringer/vibrate at certain times so that you don't have to remember to do it. It would be useful for people who work at a place where they don't want their phone to be ringing so they set the phone to vibrate only during work hours.

Hi, I've installed as per instruction. However, I can't seem to be able to have it started as it keep getting back to NO when I try to enable it. Appreciate if anyone could advise on how to make it work. Thanks

Make sure the file in /sbin is executable (e.g. chmod +x /sbin/AutoMode).

Oh I thought it would use accelerometer to detect airplane takeoff and then put you into airplane mode. :p

Hi I am trying to test the Airplane Mode on my 1.1.4, with no success. I have placed all files at the correct locations, and 755ed the AirplaneMode @ /sbin and AutoMode @ /Applications.

I select the times, Enable and SAVE with no problem. But when the time comes (even 2-3 hours after) it never goes to Airplane mode.

I did a "chown root" to all the files today, and will wait to test again tonight....

Also it would be nice to be able to set the particular days in the week that this should be enabled. For example I would not want this enabled Friday and Saturday night, as I go out, and need to speak with friends until late at night. But Sunday - Thursday nights I would, as I sleep early to go to the office the next day.

    Thanx
    iPhone 4.0, Vodafone Greece.
